As a pet sitter in Scottsdale, I know that there are some dogs that don’t chew their food…they inhale and its down! When dogs eat to fast it can lead to problems like vomiting or worse, bloat. Bloat is serious and can kill a dog. Breeds prone to this condition are (not limited to) boxers, great danes, goldens. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloat
A few tricks to slow your dogs eating down:
1) Put food on a large plate. Being spread out will slow em down
2) Put a rock or big soup can in the middle of the dogs food bowl. It will have to eat around the object thus slowing it down
3) Add water to the kibble. Enough to cover the kibble
4) put kibble in a treat ball.
5) Buy a special bowl,
