Phoenix pet sitter gives info on dog arthritis
January 11, 2011
As Phoenix and Scottsdale dog walkers, we see tons of dogs through the week. We are trained to notice when the dogs aren’t feeling well or if something is different about them. We see that many dogs become stiffer as they age and we want to give dog owners some things to look for in your dogs.
Dogs may have arthritis if they:
- Suffer loss of flexibility
- Limp or favor certain legs
- Show stiffness or pain when getting up from a lying-down position
- Seem to find certain positions uncomfortable or painful
- Seem to experience pain when touched in certain areas
- Appear to have stiff, swollen or sore joints
- Walk stiffly
- Be hesitant to jump, run or climb stairs
As your dog walker, we are here to help you notice changes in your dogs. We are a team!
